Back to Reality

Question: Why can't some twenty-something year olds clean up after themselves?

No details... I'm just wondering.

This amazingly three day weekend has came to an end. It feels like Monday...especially since we've been slammed here at the bank. I had a good Friday night with my friends though! I went M.I.A. (hiding out in Elkins at my moms) on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Oh and classes started today. Well, class for me. I'm only taking one (Psychology. HA!) this semester. I've been back and forth majoring in business and elementary education. After starting my job at WFCU, I decided to stick with elem ed. Don't get me wrong, I still am happy with my job here... I just don't think I want to make a life career out of it.

Also, if anyone is a big fan of Chelsea Lately... I strongly suggest logging on to eonline.com, under Chelsea Lately, and reading Chuy's blog posts. They are absolutely hilarious! They definitely get me through boring time at work.

25 reasons you know you've grown up...

Thought this was cute ...and sadly, somewhat true.

1. Your house plants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them.

2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question.

3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.

4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed.

5. You hear your favorite song in an elevator.

6. You watch the Weather Channel.

7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of "hook up" and "break up."

8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14.

9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up."

10. You're the one calling the police because those %&@# kids next door won't turn down the stereo.

11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you.

12. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore.

13. Your car insurance goes down and your car payments go up.

14. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonald's leftovers.

15. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.

16. You take naps.

17. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.

18. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset, rather than settle, your stomach.

19. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests.

20. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff."

21. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.

22. "I just can't drink the way I used to" replaces "I'm never going to drink that much again."

23. 90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work.

24. You drink at home to save money before going to a bar.

25. When you find out your friend is pregnant you congratulate them instead of asking "Oh S*$# what the hell happened?"

Bonus:

26: You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one to save your sorry old butt.

Twenty ten already?

Wow, I haven't posted in awhile. My life consists of work, a couple of online classes this semester, work, work, sleeping, oh and more work. Don't get me wrong, I like my new job a lot. However, I'm just still getting used to working five days a week...and sometimes six! Preparing me for the "real world". Oh wait, I'm already in it.

I cannot believe it's 2010 already! So crazy. Christmas was good along with New Years. I got myself a Christmas present this year --a new car! It's a black Acura TL and I'm in love. I'm so good to myself...haha but not my bank account:-/.

Speaking of bank account..I've gotta go deposit some money to pay some bills.

So many changes!

Soo guess what? I got the job! Bye bye harps and hello to my new part time teller position at Western Federal Credit Union! I start November 23. The first week I'm scheduled to work 20 hours for my training, but since I'm starting Thanksgiving week I get paid for 28 hours! How awesome is that? I get benefits, vacation and personal time, and paid holidays? Wow so impressive...especially since I'm part time. My last day at Harps will be November 20, so that will give me the weekend off:).

Another guess what! I chopped my long hair off yesterday. It's gone!! It's now the longer a-line style that hits right above my shoulders. It's such a drastic change for me because I've had short hair. However, I don't completely hate it...it's gotta grow on me though!

Chapter Two

I recently just started the 2nd Chapter of my life --living on my own. Ok well technically I don't "live on my own", but whatev. I love my apartment. It is SO nice! Emily and I finally have everything set up except some wall art for the living room...still looking.

On Wednesday night aka HUMP day, we had Rachel, Cassie, and Amber over. I love girl nights! I got a little toooo drunk. I was acting ridiculous. Whatev. Happens to the best of us...I guess. I love my friends though. They are so great and so much fun!

Class starts next week --Tuesday for me. It's Friday and I have NO idea where my classrooms are and I still need to go buy a packet for one of my Education classes. Great.

Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! It's the last one before school starts sooo...party.

xoxo

New blog/moving out :)

I decided to make a new blog...don't ask why.

I'm moving out!! --August 15th to be exact. I am super excited. My roommate, Emily, and I decided on the Clear Creek Apartments right off the Johnson exit. Last week we went to pick out which apartment we wanted and we decided on a downstairs in the back. We have a view of the big class Chambers building (haha!) and some of Fayetteville. We have a two bedroom, two bathroom with a large living room. Our kitchen comes fully equiped and we have a washer and dryer! We're located right by 540 so it will only take me about 15 minutes to get to class now, instead of 45 mins to an hour. More sleeping time! :)

I bought a [p]leather loveseat that I found on Craigslist. It's black and looks pretty new! We decided to do our living room in black, red, and zebra print. To go with the black loveseat, Emily has a red oversized chair. I bought some zebra wall art to go with it. All we need is some zebra pillows and we'll be set. We pretty much have everything we need except for a coffee and a couple of end tables. Maybe Craigslist will help me on that one too!

School starts in 15 days. How crazy! This summer hasn't been too exciting, but whatev. I'm actually ready to get back to college...the sooner I get out of there!
